Welcome June 2010 Welcome to St Peter's website. I hope you find it a helpful insight into the life of our school. St Peters is set in the heart of the Sussex countryside in the vibrant village of Henfield. We are fortunate to enjoy the benefits of being a church aided primary but being large enough to offer single aged classes throughout. Our size also helps with the range of staff expertise we are able to offer, not least with the variety of after school activities. The current school site in Fabians Way was first opened in 1957 but has benefited from a number of sympathetic additions, including a purpose built foundation stage unit and infant classes. We are also undergoing further building works that will provide us with some exciting new facilities, including a learning resource centre; school kitchen, music rooms, conference room and small group teaching areas. We also enjoy very generous playground and field space that encourage sports and a healthy life style. St Peter's was last inspected by Ofsted in March 2007 and received an extremely positive report that has recognised the many strengths within the school community. The care shown by those who work at St Peter's, together with the quality of the teaching, all help to make St Peter's a school the community can feel proud of.
